May 21 marked the birth in 1904 in Waverly, New York of Thomas Wright Waller, better known as “Fats”. My interest in vintage music began more than 30 years ago when I first heard Dr. Demento play Fat’s “Handful of Keys” on his show, and I play Fats’ recordings quite often on the show, but here are some of Fats’ compositions played by others.
