WW2 veteran returns to naval base before 100th birthday

Description
Ron Stannus, a Second World War veteran approaching his 100th birthday, returns to HMAS Cerberus naval training base where he began his service 82 years ago as a 17-year-old. He served aboard HMAS Warramunga, bombarding the Philippines, witnessed the Japanese surrender in 1945, and transported Australian prisoners of war. Ron continues to honour five classmates who were killed in a kamikaze attack at just 18 years old, and will participate in the Anzac Day march in Melbourne.
