A pizza shop in Black Rock was destroyed by arson around 2:30am when offenders arrived in a stolen black sedan, spread accelerant inside the Hello Bello restaurant and set it alight. Thirty firefighters battled the intense blaze which spread along awnings to neighbouring businesses, while a couple sleeping above an adjacent chiropractor clinic fled to safety in their underwear after waking to explosions and the smell of fuel. The owners have posted online stating they believe this was a case of mistaken identity.
