For this episode - Laura sat down with Founder & Managing Director of FW, Helen McCabe. FW is an inclusive, member-led organisation committed to achieving gender equality in Australian workplaces. Previously Helen spent more than a decade as a journalist at News Corp and as Editor-in-Chief of The Australian Women's Weekly.
In this conversation, Helen & Laura discuss the way that women most commonly describe their leadership style, the skills that good leaders need to master, differences between male & female leaders, introverts as leaders, and whether or not women still need to be likeable.
We also answer one of your questions: As a Gen X woman who built my career proving my commitment through hard work, I’m finding it challenging to adjust to younger generations who set very clear boundaries around their time and workload. How do I reconcile my work ethic in a workplace culture that values balance differently?
