Published 1 month, 1 week ago
Description

Today’s Northern Soul episode featured Alex and Deirdre, who discussed their community’s outdoor rosary group in West Belfast. The couple, who have been married for 19 years, explained how they started leading public rosary prayers at St. Oliver Plunkett Chapel’s grotto in West Belfast every Wednesday night at 6 PM, initially outdoors in all weather conditions. The group has grown to about 12 regular members and occasionally reaches 4,000 online viewers through the Rosary Rally Facebook page.

They shared a special story of a young child who saw the statue of the Virgin Mary as a baby in the statue’s arms, and discussed how the group includes various prayers like the Litany of Our Lady and St. Michael’s Prayer. The program also featured Alex’s musical talents, including a hymn he wrote about St. Padre Pio and a new song about the Passion of Christ.
