Marriage Foundations – Love Languages and Marriage in the 60th Year – Andrew and Noreen with Andrea and John

Published 1 month ago
Description

Andrew and Noreen explore the five ways people give and receive love: words of affirmation, acts of service, quality time, physical touch and gifts, and how understanding your own and your partner’s language of love can transform a marriage. They also discuss the complementary needs of men and women as understood through St. John Paul II’s theology of the body.

Guest couple Andrea and John, married 59 years, share the story of how they met at a St. Patrick’s Day dance in Chalfont St. Peter, their six children and eleven grandchildren, and John’s Benemerenti medal for decades of work with MISSIO. The episode closes with an interview with Sinead Strong, co-founder of Catholic Mothers Ireland, about an upcoming Catholic couples date night on 18th April at the Armagh City Hotel, organised with Family Solidarity, Teams of Our Lady and Marriage Encounter.
