Fr. Darren Brennan answers the question, how can we prepare for Holy Week? Walking day by day through the week, he explains what we are remembering and celebrating on each occasion: the children singing Hosanna on Palm Sunday, the gift of the Eucharist and the priesthood on Holy Thursday, the hour with Jesus in the garden, the Passion and adoration of the cross on Good Friday, and the great Easter Vigil fire on Holy Saturday when the darkness is filled with candlelight and the whole church sings. He closes with a reflection on why the crowds’ hearts turned so quickly between Palm Sunday and Good Friday, and what that teaches each of us about keeping our own hearts in the right place.
