Description
Fr. Eamonn McCarthy and Mary work through the Palm Sunday Gospel in three movements: the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the Last Supper, and the arrest in Gethsemane. At the heart of the conversation is a simple but searching question — in each of us, is there a little of Peter, a little of Judas, and a little of John? Fr. Eamonn reflects on a painting in his studio of all three men at the Last Supper, each asking “Not I, Lord, surely,” and what it means to enter Holy Week honestly, knowing our own weakness. The episode also carries a gentle but clear encouragement to get to confession before Easter. After all, the difference between Peter and Judas is that Peter repented, and Judas didn’t. Part one of a two-part reflection, continuing on Good Friday.
