Wisconsin jails, prisons expand access to opioid addiction medication

Medications for opioid use disorder can manage the symptoms of withdrawal, help people recover from active addiction, and lower the risk of overdose. According to a new report from Wisconsin Policy Forum, access to those medications has significantly expanded in the state’s jails and prisons over the last four years.
