ENERGY: Orlando Magic must PROVE Playoff readiness as team FIGHTS for identity
Description
The Orlando Magic needed to rally from a 15-point deficit to edge the New Orleans Pelicans. It was a gutsy performance where the Magic found their energy in a dominant defensive fourth quarter. And every win counts at this point of the season.
But the seeming lack of energy has defined the season. While energy has long been the defining trait for this Magic team, it has been sorely lacking this season. Or at least inconsistent.
If the Magic want to make noise to end the season and win in the Playoffs, they not only need to bring consistent energy to each game, but they also need to fine-tune the details. They are not playing Playoff-level basketball and everyone knows it.
Time is running out to have the consistency needed for the postseason.
