Published 2 weeks, 5 days ago
Description
A US fighter pilot from an F-15E Strike Eagle downed by Iran over the weekend has been successfully rescued after more than 48 hours on Iranian soil. The aviator, who ejected from the aircraft, hiked several kilometres and hid in a mountain crevice before being extracted by joint US special operations forces and Israeli assistance in what officials are calling the 'Easter miracle'. President Donald Trump confirmed the pilot sustained injuries but is safe and undergoing medical review.
