Asaph walked right up to the brink of apostasy when he looked on injustice.
“My feet had almost stumbled, my steps had nearly slipped.” Psalm 73:2
What brought him back was the future judgment of the prosperous wicked.
“I went into the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end.” Psalm 73:17
His eyes were opened to the bestiality of unbelief.
“When my soul was embittered . . . I was like a beast toward you.” Psalm 73:21–22
