The State Department on Saturday announced the United States is revoking the visas of family members of a former Iranian general. Qasem Soleimani, a major general in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was eliminated during the first Trump administration. His niece and grandniece are now in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody.

A federal judge has ordered President Donald Trump to pause collecting race data from public universities as part of the president’s push against race-based policies in higher education. In a ruling Friday, a federal judge in Boston said the federal government likely has the authority to collect the data, but the demand was rolled out to universities in a “rushed and chaotic” manner.
