The prohibitive commands serve to prevent our animal soul’s blood vessels from attaching and drawing nurture from the totally impure kelipot. And the positive commands serve to elevate our animal soul to Hashem, uniting the life-energy of each of our limbs with the light of the Ein Sof BH. Indeed, our limbs become a chariot to the Divine in this way.
