Naming.
To name something is not just to describe it.
It is to bring it into form.
It’s one of the first capacities we develop as humans — learning language, learning to differentiate, learning to point to reality and say, this is that.
And from there, everything changes.
Naming is an Alchemist power.
But it also carries an Alchemist shadow.
Because the same ability that reveals truth can also conceal it — hiding a lie inside a word that sounds true.
In this episode, I explore:
- How language development gives us the ability to name and organize reality
- Why naming can bring immense relief — especially when you finally have language for a pattern you’ve been living inside
- The shadow side: how naming can create a false sense of resolution
- Why people often love their diagnoses
- The difference between naming a pattern and deprogramming it
- The opportunity to reclaim words that have been hijacked, inverted, or perverted
We’ll also get practical.
Not everything should be named.
And not everything should be named in the same way.

It’s only useful if it leads to seeing — and from there, to actual freedom.
