En: It was a beautiful spring day in İstanbul.
Tr: Hava mis gibiydi.
En: The weather was delightful.
Tr: Yerel seçim günüydü ve insanlar oy vermek için mahallelerindeki ortak yaşam merkezine akın ediyorlardı.
En: It was local election day, and people were flocking to the community center in their neighborhoods to vote.
Tr: Renkli pankartlar ve afişler her yeri süslemişti.
En: Colorful banners and posters adorned every corner.
Tr: Ancak o sabah sadece seçim heyecanı değil, başka bir sürpriz de vardı.
