Story Transcript:
Ga: Bhí an grian ag taitneamh go geal sa spéir an Earraigh sin agus fionnfhuaradh an aer úr trí fhuinneoga oscailte na hoifige.
En: The sun shone brightly in the sky that spring and the fresh air was refreshed through the open windows of the office.
Ga: Bhí Aoife suite ar a deasc sa chúinne deireanach den oifig corparáideach a bhí gnóthach le gnó.
En: Aoife was seated at her desk in the last corner of the busy corporate office.
Ga: Bhí sí ag obair go dian mar ba ghnách.
En: She was working hard as usual.
Ga: Ach, i gcogar an té sin sa chúinne, bhí rún aici nach raibh ar eolas ag a comhghleacaithe: Bhí Aoife i ngrá le Connor, fear óg sa roinn chéanna, ach ní raibh sí riamh cróga go leor chun a mothúcháin a insint dó.
En: Yet, in that whisper of the corner, she had a secret unknown to her colleagues: Aoife was in love with Connor, a young man in the same department, but she was never brave enough to tell him her feelings.
Ga: Lá amháin, tar éis uaireanta de bheith ag smaoineamh, shocraigh sí ar litir ghrá a scríobh chuig Connor.
En: One day, after hours of thinking, she decided to write a love letter to Connor.
Ga: Bhí sí lán brí agus mothúcháin ionraic.
En: It was full of meaning and sincere emotions.
Ga: Bhí sí ag súil go dtiocfadh na focail cheart chuici chun a grá a léiriú.
En: She was hoping the right words would come to her to express her love.
Ga: Scríobh sí an ríomhphost a raibh sí ar bís leis, croí na hAoife ag bualadh go dian le gach focal díreach.
En: She wrote the email she was excited about, Aoife's heart pounding intensely with each direct word.
Ga: Ach nuair a chliceál sí "Seol," rinne sí botún.
En: But when she clicked "Send," she made a mistake.
Ga: Seachas é a chur chuig Connor amháin, chuaigh an ríomhphost chuig gach duine san oifig, gach ball den chomhlacht.
En: Instead of sending it to Connor alone, the email went to everyone in the office, every member of the company.
Ga: Táin an rírá ann.
En: Chaos ensued.
Ga: Caitheadh súile iontais ar fud na hoifige.
En: Eyes full of surprise were cast around the office.
Ga: Bhí tuathán Aoife mar ábhar chúlchainte sna coirnéil.
En: Aoife's mishap became the subject of backroom chatter.
Ga: Thángthas ar an litir ghrá mar gheit ag muc.
En: The love letter was discovered unexpectedly.
Ga: Bhí Aoife ag fágáil a hoifige toisc an náire, ach bhí cinneadh déanta aici: bheadh uirthi aghaidh a thabhairt ar a leithscéal do gach duine.
En: Aoife was leaving her office due to the shame, but she made a decision: she would have to face her apology to everyone.
Ga: Ag cruinniú na maidine dár gcionn, sheas Aoife os comhair a comhghleacaithe.
En: At the meeting the following morning, Aoife stood before her colleagues.
Ga: Bhí sí beagán aimhréidh, ach bhí sí díreach.
En: She was a little flustered, but she was straightforward.
Ga: "A chairde," d’fhógair sí le gáire mbeag, "is cosúil gur theip orm uimhir in aon rud a rún.
En: "Friends," she announced with a small laugh, "it seems I failed to keep a secret.
Ga: Sea, is fíor an scéal.
En: Yes, it's true.
Ga: Thaitin Connor liom.
En: I liked Connor."
Ga: "Rinne na comhghleacaithe gáire, áfach, ag moladh di mar gheall ar a hionracas agus a crógacht.
En: The colleagues laughed, however, praising her for her honesty and bravery.
Ga: Bhí sé mar chuim
