Following the launch of Artemis II, the mission's astronauts are currently on their way to fly around the Moon and back in an approximately 10-day journey.

NASA leaders are holding a news conference to discuss the mission and answer questions from the media. Participants include:
- Administrator Jared Isaacman
- Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya
- Lori Glaze, acting associate administrator, Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate
- John Honeycutt, chair, Mission Management Team
- Norm Knight, director, Flight Operations Directorate

Artemis II is the first crewed flight test of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion, testing the technologies we'll need for long-term lunar exploration and human missions to Mars. Under Artemis, NASA will send astronauts on increasingly difficult missions to explore more of the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and to build on our foundation for the first crewed missions to Mars.
