Fuel price cuts and gambling ad reforms announced

Australian states and territories have agreed to redirect part of a GST windfall to reduce petrol prices by an additional 5.7 cents per litre, bringing combined fuel savings to 32 cents per litre. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has also announced major reforms to gambling advertising, including a radio advertising blackout during school pick-up and drop-off times and a ban on gambling advertisements on sporting kits and inside stadiums. The reforms are scheduled to commence next year.
