Description

In this episode, I reflect on how recent advances in AI—especially models like LigandForge—are changing the way we think about medicine and the human body.

LigandForge can generate large numbers of peptide drug candidates extremely quickly, which may significantly reduce one of the biggest bottlenecks in drug discovery. Combined with tools like AlphaFold, it suggests a future where treatments could be designed much faster and more precisely.

I’m not a specialist, but from a simple perspective, the body can be seen as a system of interacting proteins. When those interactions go wrong, disease appears. Technologies like this may allow us to correct those issues more directly.

At the same time, I connect this to something more personal. As I get older, I’ve been focusing more on basic habits—sleep, nutrition, and recovery. Those fundamentals don’t change, but technology may soon support them in new ways.

It feels like we’re moving, slowly but clearly, toward a world where we maintain our health before things break, rather than fixing problems after they appear.
