Bobby Andrew Weaver, aged 24 at the time, pleaded guilty to murdering David Charles Thornton, a 58-year-old retired teacher, in Goodna, Queensland, in 2019. Thornton was last seen in February and his remains were found in a chest freezer in April. Weaver was arrested in New South Wales and extradited to Queensland. He is now awaiting sentencing after a review on April 8th.
