A Prayer for When We’re Not As Okay As We Say

Loving God,

When we are not as okay as we say we are,

you already know.

You see what we carry,

even when we don’t acknowledge it,

even when we try to move past it.

Help us to be honest—

not harsh with ourselves,

but willing to tell the truth

about what is really there.

Give us the courage

to name what we feel

without guilt or shame.

And in that honesty,

help us remain grounded—

held in your presence,

and rooted in a purpose

greater than what we are facing.

Guide us in what we are here for.

Lead us forward

with determination,

with strength,

and with love.
