Fr Peter George Flynn is joined by medieval church historian and former National Director for Catechetics Alexander O’Hara to discuss the newly produced short film series The Way of Saint Patrick, made by Neua Films in partnership with the Jesus Film Project and Scripture Union Ireland. Alexander explains how the series grew from his experience teaching early Irish Christianity at Trinity College Dublin, and how it draws deeply on the Confessio — Patrick’s own autobiography, the first literary work written in Ireland — to tell a story not just of a historical figure but of radical surrender to God’s will. They discuss where the films were shot, Patrick’s profound Trinitarian faith, the image of the rock lifted from the mud, and why the series is aimed at schools but speaks to everyone.
