Palestine - Israel - death penalty law
Palestine describes as a human rights violation the approval of the death penalty in Israel, a law that obliged military courts to apply execution by hanging, except in certain cases, to Palestinian prisoners who are deemed responsible for the death of Israeli citizens in what are classified as acts of terrorism.
In an official statement, Palestine stated that the new legislation contradicts the fourth Geneva Convention by undermining protections for individuals and the right to a fair trial.
It was also indicated that the law constitutes a violation of the international covenant of civil and political rights.
Middle East
In the Middle East, Iran launched wave eighty-eight of true promise four, which includes large scale attacks against US and Israeli targets using drones and ballistic missiles.
They struck military targets in Bahrain, hit an Israeli container ship in the central gulf, demonstrating the expansion of the offensive toward maritime interests and also target a US military base in the United Arab Emirates.
Climate change
And climate change continues to take a toll. In Bolivia, heavy rains in several regions of the country have left at least thirty-seven dead, fourteen missing, and fifteen hundred families affected.
Heavy rains and landslides have also been reported in Afghanistan and Pakistan where they have left more than a hundred dead, over five hundred homes affected, and numerous families impacted.
