Melanie Kurdys - US Parents Involved in Education
Melanie is the President of the Michigan chapter of USPIE, which seeks to return education to its proper local roots and restore parental authority over their children's education. Today we talk about the problems in the public-school system as well as possible solutions to those problems. USPIE believes that the parents are the best educators for their children, and we talk about how parents can help their children learn in ways that are fun, encourage their natural curiosity, and that allow them to learn at their own pace. We cover the problems in Common Core Math, how to assess what your kids may be learning in school, and other possible ways to ensure your children get a good education. If you are going to take government money, you will be subject to the rules that come with that money, which may not be in the best interest of your child or their education. Learn how this national organization, USPIE, is advocating for parents, teachers, and most importantly, the kids!
