Through the story of Lazarus, we see that pain does not mean God has forgotten us or stopped loving us; He loved Mary, Martha, and Lazarus deeply, yet He allowed them to walk through the agony of death because He was about to get glory out of their situation. When God steps in front of your tomb and calls your situation back to life, there will be a crowd that comes just to see what He has done, proving that the pain was never pointless but was always leading to a greater demonstration of His resurrection power.
