When God Restores His Altar

Episode 673 Published 1 month ago
Description

In the Book of 1 Kings 18, Elijah the prophet called the people near, and he repaired the altar of the Lord that had broken down. He took twelve stones according to the tribes of Israel, even though the nation at that time was divided. God was making a statement.

If it is His altar, there is no division, no black, white, brown, red, or yellow; no righteous side or unrighteous side; no history that justifies separation. At God’s altar, division has no authority. The twelve stones were a declaration that God had not changed His covenant or His heart toward His people.

When God restores His altar, He restores unity. He does not build on grievance or separation. Come back to the altar that God is repairing, not the one that has been shaped by division and offense. Let God today, not mankind, define where it is that you belong. Talk to God about it today, because it’s time to pray.
