Melatonin is commonly viewed as a natural and relatively harmless way to get a better night’s sleep, but new research is raising questions about its long-term use. A large study presented at the American Heart Association’s 2025 Scientific Sessions found an association between long-term melatonin use among adults with insomnia and increased rates of heart failure, hospitalization and death from any cause. However, researchers caution that the findings do not prove melatonin itself causes these health problems. Other factors—including underlying sleep disorders and differences between melatonin users and non-users—could influence the results. The research highlights the need for further study into the long-term cardiovascular safety of one of the world’s most widely used sleep supplements. Six Flags America has officially closed its gates for good, bringing an end to decades of rides, roller coasters, and family memories in Bowie, Maryland. The amusement park and its Hurricane Harbor water park welcomed guests for the final time on November 2, 2025. Six Flags Entertainment announced the closure as part of a larger review of its properties, saying the park no longer aligned with the company's long-term growth plans. Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are heading back into the world of The Mummy. More than two decades after starring together as Rick and Evelyn O’Connell, the fan-favorite duo is reuniting for a new installment of the action-adventure franchise. John Hannah is also returning as Jonathan Carnahan, making the upcoming film an even bigger reunion for longtime fans.
