Breakouts Are Broken, Forwards Are Frozen & the Penguins' Playoff Push Is on the Brink
Published 6 months, 4 weeks ago
Description
Dan digs into the nuts and bolts of why Carolina's four-man forecheck exposed the Letang-Girard pairing so badly, and why the Penguins' entire offensive system depends on clean breakouts they simply can't execute right now. With Ryan Shea banged up, the trade deadline two weeks out, and Colorado coming to town Tuesday, Dan then pivots to the struggling forwards — Kindel, Novak, and Justin Brazeau have all gone cold at the worst possible time — and closes with a hard look at the playoff stakes: make it, or this season falls apart completely.
