365: Boundaries as Leadership Development: How to Build a Career Without Burnout

Episode 365 Published 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Description

In this episode of the Grad School Femtoring podcast, I reflect on how many of the grad students I once coached are now working professionals in various leadership roles, and how our conversations have shifted toward career and leadership development, especially how to advance in their career without burning out. I connect sustainable leadership to boundary setting. I explain why boundaries are essential for leadership: they protect focus, support our energy, shape team culture and wellbeing through modeling, and enable long-term impact, especially for first-gen and non-traditional professionals carrying extra roles and responsibilities. I also share practical strategies for setting boundaries around your time, communication, and energy.
