Love Machine nightclub in Prahran was destroyed by arson around 2am when offenders rammed through a roller door and spread accelerant inside, with 45 firefighters taking two and a half hours to control the blaze. The venue has a tragic history including a 2019 drive-by shooting that killed two people and multiple violent incidents linked to outlaw motorcycle club members. Ground floor businesses, including a 25-year-old hairdressing salon, suffered extensive smoke and water damage, while the building's owner also operated Lux nightclub which was burnt down in November 2024.
