Australia has implemented a temporary six-month travel ban preventing Iranian nationals from entering the country. Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke enacted the measure due to concerns that visitors from Iran may be unable to return home. Exemptions apply to spouses or dependent children of Australian citizens and Iranians already in transit to Australia.
