Cyclone Narelle intensifies off WA coast

Description
Cyclone Narelle has strengthened to a Category 3 system off the northern West Australian coast with winds reaching 165 kilometres per hour. The cyclone is expected to intensify to Category 4 off Exmouth before making landfall as a severe Category 3 system near Denham, north of Geraldton. Perth will avoid the cyclone's direct impact but is forecast to receive around 50 millimetres of rainfall on both Friday and Saturday.
