Take Refuge Until the Disaster Has Passed

Season 49 Episode 25 Published 1 day, 5 hours ago
Description

As the day winds down, rest in the shelter of God’s presence. Tonight’s Our Daily Bread Evening Meditation invites you to draw near and take refuge under the shadow of His wing, trusting in His love and faithfulness no matter what surrounds you.

Reflecting on Psalm 57:1-4, we see the psalmist caught in the midst of danger, surrounded by threats that feel overwhelming—but God responds not with weapons or armies, but with His steadfast love and faithfulness. This passage reminds us that when we are afraid, God gives Himself to us as our refuge, our fortress, and our protector.

As you prepare for sleep, let this meditation calm your heart and ease your worries. You may still face challenges tomorrow, but tonight you can rest securely, hidden in His care, strengthened and comforted by the One who will never leave you.

Tonight’s meditation is read by Peta. Meet the team at odb.org/meet-the-team.
