Morbid jealousy drives Melton South murder
Published 4 weeks ago
Description
A Samoan man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for the murder of his wife Lise in Melton South. The Supreme Court heard the 44-year-old stabbed his wife four times with a kitchen knife, driven by an unfounded belief she was having an affair with his brother, with the court noting his extremely low IQ of 61 and major depressive disorder. The convicted murderer will be eligible for parole in 18 years and faces likely deportation upon release.
