We heard from Chicago-raised flutist Emma Gerstein in 20-24 after the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s European tour.
But this year…Gerstein is touring with extra cargo. She recently gave birth to her second son.
She filed this audio diary from the road to fill us in on what it’s like to perform at classical music’s highest level – with a 10-month-old baby in tow.
