Paul has had one of the most interesting careers in UK Fintech:
- Joined Northern Rock as Credit Director 6 months before the credit crunch and had to help steer the company through the crisis.
- Started an alpaca farm with his wife
- Cofounded both Starling and Monzo Bank
Now he's launching Rippon Capital - a new equity and debt fund to back UK founders.
He's looking for companies around the Series A level that are close to profitability and looking for growth and or debt, as well as seasoned operators to help them out.
He's a seasoned angel investor having made 30+ investments and is current portfolio is returning 35% a year excluding Monzo, or over 500% a year including Monzo.
