In the Bible, the prophets of Baal cried aloud, leaped on their altar, and even cut themselves. Yet there were no voice and no answer from heaven. 

You see, sincerity was not enough. They raved, acted insanely, exhausted themselves, and mistook emotion for power. Fire was not a feeling, not a tingling presence, not a sensory experience. The Word of God does not make superficial cuts. It is sharp and powerful, going straight to the thoughts and intents of the heart. 

Real transformation happens when we agree with what God says and trust Him for the power to change. It doesn’t come from performance or display. It only comes from surrender. God is not impressed by noise or effort, but by a yielded heart to His truth. 

Stop striving to feel something and allow God today to do a deep work within you.
