Back to EpisodesRemembering Jessi Pierce | ... And Why Nyquist?
Description
The Winnipeg Jets wrapped up their road trip with a pair of shootout games in Pittsburgh and New York -- splitting the results with a loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins and a win over the New York Rangers. Ultimately, the Jets were able to pull in 3 out of 6 possible points.
Cam and Jim break down both matchups and revisit the playoff picture. Winnipeg’s chances have ticked up slightly, but a major challenge awaits with the Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche coming to town on Tuesday and Thursday.
The show also takes time to acknowledge the tragic passing of a valued contributor and friend of the program, Jessi Pierce. The Minnesota Wild reporter, writer, and podcaster died at the age of 37, along with her three children -- Hudson, Cayden, and Avery -- in a house fire in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, over the weekend.
Outside of local Manitoba voices, Jessi appeared on the show more than anyone else, and her presence will be deeply missed.
The program revisits some of her best moments, offering a glimpse into who she was and the impact she had.
All that and more on today’s edition of Jets at Noon.
