Story Transcript:

En: The Dolac market was full of the scents of spring.

Hr: Prodavači su nudili svježe cvijeće, šaroliko povrće i ručno izrađene rukotvorine.
En: Vendors offered fresh flowers, colorful vegetables, and handmade crafts.

En: The air was fresh, carried by the aroma of fresh bread and fruit.

En: Ana walked among the stalls, searching for ingredients for the family's Easter celebration.

En: She was focused, but images from the past haunted her thoughts.

Hr: Dok je birala svježu salatu, kraj Anine ruke slučajno je prošao poznat glas.
En: While choosing fresh lettuce, a familiar voice accidentally passed by Ana's side.

Hr: Ana je zastala.
En: Ana paused.

Hr: Bio je to Marko, prijatelj kojeg nije vidjela godinama.
En: It was Marko, a friend she hadn't seen in years.

Hr: Između njih su stajale godine i šutnja.
En: Years and silence stood between them.

En: Ana felt old unease, an insecurity creeping into her soul.

Hr: "Zdravo, Ana," rekao je Marko lagano, pokušavajući uloviti njezin pogled.
En: "Hello, Ana," Marko said lightly, trying to catch her gaze.

Hr: "Davna vremena..."
En: "Long time no see..."

Hr: Ana je uzdahnula.
En: Ana sighed.

Hr: "Da, davna... Kako si, Marko?"
En: "Yes, a long time... How are you, Marko?"

En: Marko knew there was no time for beating around the bush.

Hr: "Ana, želio bih razgovarati. Kava možda?"
En: "Ana, I'd like to talk. Maybe coffee?"

Hr: Ana je zastala.
En: Ana hesitated.

Hr: Nije bila sigurna.
En: She wasn't sure.

En: Her heart said "yes," but her mind resisted.

Hr: Na kraju, usred buke tržnice i mirisa mladih jagoda, pristala je.
En: In the end, amid the market's noise and the scent of fresh strawberries, she agreed.

En: They sat at a small table next to the market, with coffee in front of them.

En: Their faces were serious, but the warm spring sunlight seemed to melt away a layer of discomfort.

En: "I want to apologize to you, Ana," Marko began.

En: "I shouldn't have let the past separate us."

En: It had always been hard for her to deal with misunderstandings, but now she decided to be open.

Hr: "Zaboljelo me, Marko.
En: "It hurt me, Marko.

Hr: Ali prošlost je prošlost," priznala je Ana.
En: But the past is the past," Ana admitted.

Hr: "Želim ići dalje, bez sjena iz prošlosti."
En: "I want to move on, without shadows from the past."

Hr: Mark
