Story Transcript:

Sl: Pomlad je zavladala v mirni soseski.
En: Spring had taken over the peaceful neighborhood.

Sl: Sonce je nežno sijalo skozi mlado zelenje dreves.
En: The sun was gently shining through the young greenery of the trees.

Sl: Ptički so žvrgoleli v melodiji novega dne.
En: The birds chirped to the melody of the new day.

Sl: Cvetlice so se sramežljivo odpirale, vsak dan bolj pisane in bogate.
En: Flowers shyly opened up, each day more colorful and abundant.

Sl: Luka je stal ob oknu svoje hiše.
En: Luka stood by the window of his house.

Sl: Podočnjaki so mu pričali o nočeh, polnih nemira in razmišljanja.
En: The dark circles under his eyes spoke of nights full of restlessness and contemplation.

Sl: Po zadnji nezgodi, ki mu je za kratek čas omejila hojo s šepanjem, so ga obvladali strahovi.
En: After the last accident, which temporarily limited his walking to a limp, fears overwhelmed him.

Sl: Veliko časa je preživel v svoji sobi, stran od sveta.
En: He spent much of his time in his room, away from the world.

Sl: Pred hišo je prispela Neža, njegova najbližja prijateljica.
En: In front of the house, Neža, his closest friend, arrived.

Sl: Pozvonila je na vrata in čakala, da ji Luka odpre.
En: She rang the doorbell and waited for Luka to open the door.

Sl: Bil je ranljiv, vendar si je želel občutiti normalnost.
En: He was vulnerable, but he longed to feel normalcy.

Sl: Po nekaj trenutkih premora je le odprl vrata.
En: After a few moments of pause, he finally opened the door.

Sl: "Živijo, Luka!
En: "Hi, Luka!"

Sl: " je rekla Neža z nasmehom.
En: said Neža with a smile.

Sl: "Kako se počutiš danes?
En: "How are you feeling today?"

Sl: ""Nisem prepričan," je odgovoril Luka iskreno, saočutjem v glasu.
En: "I'm not sure," replied Luka honestly, with empathy in his voice.

Sl: "Čudno je.
En: "It's strange.

Sl: Nočem biti odvisen od drugih.
En: I don't want to be dependent on others."

Sl: "Neža se je razumela.
En: Neža understood.

Sl: "Razumem," je rekla tiho.
En: "I understand," she said quietly.

Sl: "Ampak prijatelji so tukaj zato, da pomagajo.
En: "But friends are here to help."

Sl: ""Lahko greva v park?
En: "Can we go to the park?"

Sl: " je predlagala.
En: she suggested.

Sl: "Veš, tam kjer sva vedno hodila.
En: "You know, the one where we always walked."

Sl: "Luka je pogledal proti parku izza okna.
En: Luka looked towards the park from the window.

Sl: Bil je blizu, a zdelo se mu je, kot da je na drugem koncu mesta.
En: It was nearby, but it seemed as if it was on the other side of town.

Sl: Občutek je bil mešanica strahu in želje po neki normalnosti.
En: The feeling was a mix of fear and a desire for some normalcy.

Sl: Po kratki tišini je Luka zbral pogum.
En: After a brief silence, Luka gathered courage.

Sl: "Prav, pojdiva," je rekel in zaključil z majhnim nasmehom, ki ga je Neža hitro zaznala.
En: "Alright, let's go," he said, finishing with a small smile that Neža quickly noticed.

Sl: Nasmehnila se je nazaj, da mu da pogum.
En: She smiled back to encourage him.
