SUNDAY - MARCH 22, 2026 "Witnesses of God's Kingdom"

Published 6 months, 2 weeks ago
Description

A lot of people carry religious language without real clarity or power, and Acts 19 puts that problem on the table fast. When Paul meets a group of disciples in Ephesus, he asks a piercing question: did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? Their answer reveals a “partial gospel” that sounds spiritual but stops short of Jesus as Lord and the Spirit’s indwelling presence.

We walk through what Paul teaches about the kingdom of God and the marks of true citizens. That starts with believing in the Lord Jesus, not as a vague helper, but as the King who rules our lives. We talk about repentance and faith as a single turning of the whole person, and we explain why Christian baptism is a public picture of that belief, not a substitute for it. Then we connect Acts with Ephesians 1 and Romans 8 to show how the Holy Spirit seals believers and guarantees our inheritance, plus how John 16 describes the Spirit’s everyday work through conviction and growth in righteousness.

Paul’s final mark is just as challenging: kingdom citizens become witnesses. Even when the synagogue turns hostile, he simply moves to the hall of Tyrannus and reasons daily, and the word spreads across Asia. Listen, reflect, and then take a next step: subscribe, share this message with a friend, leave a review, and tell us where you need courage to speak about Jesus this week.
