“Replacing the Motor Isn’t Enough”
Published 3 months, 3 weeks ago
Description
In this episode, I reflect on a historical example from early industrialization, where factories replaced steam engines with electric motors but saw little improvement at first. The real gains only came later, when the entire workflow was redesigned.
I explore how this idea relates to AI today. While individual productivity is clearly improving, many organizations have not yet changed their underlying structure.
This episode is a simple reflection on the difference between using AI to make things faster and rethinking how work itself is designed.
