Here's the Left of Lansing "Friday Short" for March 20, 2026.

Thanks to excellent reporting by The Detroit News' Beth LeBlanc & Craig Mauger, MAGA Michigan House Speaker Matt Hall received a government transparency award from a group... that doesn't exist!!!

It's part of an effort of Matt Hall's to block much-needed Freedom of Information Act Reform bills in Michigan, which would end FOIA request exemptions for the state's executive and legislative branches. 

But protecting The Epstein Class Swamp is, like Dear Leader Trump, Matt Hall's main priority in Michigan. He'll even emulate Trump by giving himself made-up participation awards to celebrate something he didn't do.
