Trump's incoherent babble has reached a new level of absurdity

Published 3 months, 1 week ago
Description

Donald Trump sat behind the Resolute desk and told the world someone else was the president of the United States. He fabricated a conversation with a former president who allegedly endorsed his Iran strikes, then all four living former presidents issued statements denying it ever happened. He hugged a model B-2 bomber on camera, claimed it carries a 200,000 pound bomb that does not exist, called Cuba something he could just take, revealed a congressman's terminal diagnosis that was never made public, dismissed NATO allies who bled for America after September 11th, and referred to Gavin Newsom as the president while mocking his dyslexia.

The Breakdown:
Trump claimed a former president told him he wished he had launched the Iran strikes; representatives for Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Biden all denied it happened
He hugged a model B-2 bomber in the Oval Office and described a 200,000 pound bomb that does not exist; the B-2 maximum payload is roughly 40,000 pounds
He said taking Cuba four times, treating a sovereign nation like a real estate acquisition
He mocked Puerto Rico's hurricane vulnerability while praising Cuba's weather for tourism potential
He revealed Congressman Neal Dunn's terminal heart diagnosis at a Kennedy Center luncheon after House Speaker Mike Johnson said the information was not public
He told the room he helped Dunn first for the man himself and second for his vote, then admitted it was a close second
He dismissed NATO, claiming allies would not show up for the United States, despite Article 5 being invoked only once in history and that was for America after September 11th
More than 1,000 coalition soldiers died fighting alongside American forces in the war that followed
He referred to Gavin Newsom as the president of the United States and never corrected himself
He mocked Newsom's dyslexia, saying everything about him is dumb
He described watching Iran strikes from the situation room in disjointed detail, narrating altitude drops and explosions like a child describing a video game
He admitted he does not know who the United States is negotiating with in Iran because everyone is dead
All four living former presidents moved within hours to publicly deny Trump's fabricated conversation
