A federal judge has dealt Elon Musk a setback in a lawsuit connected to his controversial 2022 purchase of Twitter, now known as X. U.S. Magistrate Judge Gabriel Gorenstein ruled that Musk and his co-defendants cannot argue that they relied on legal advice as justification for their actions surrounding the delayed disclosure of Musk’s growing stake in the social media company.
