When We Speak Words of Hope

Sometimes we don’t realize how much power our words carry—

shaping the world around us and within us.

Scripture

“Then he said to me, ‘Prophesy to these bones…’” — Ezekiel 37:4

Reflection

What impact are our words having?

On ourselves?

On each other?

Do we recognize their power?

Are we speaking words that encourage—

words that inform and inspire—

words that sustain?

In Ezekiel’s vision, it is the power of God that brings life to what was lifeless.

But notice how that life begins to move—

through words.

The prophet speaks,

and even what was beyond hope comes to life again.

In our lives, it is still God who restores,

God who renews,

God who brings life where there is none.

The power of God flows through us—

and through the words we speak.

Words that call forth hope.

Words that remind us what is still possible.

Words that steady us when we are about to collapse.

So today, let us speak with intention.

Let us speak with care.

Let us speak words of life.
