He: באמצע יום אביב נעים, הלך אלי בן ה-12 בשביל צר.
En: On a pleasant spring day, 12-year-old Eli walked along a narrow path.
He: פריחת האביב הייתה מסביב, והריח המתוק הזכיר את החג המתקרב, פסח.
En: The spring blossoms were all around, and the sweet fragrance reminded him of the upcoming holiday, Passover.
He: הוא התבונן בנוף, אך ליבו היה כבד.
En: He gazed at the landscape, but his heart was heavy.
He: אופניו, שנעלמו בדיוק בתחילת החופש, היו אהבתו הגדולה.
En: His bicycle, which had disappeared just at the start of the break, was his greatest love.

En: Eli's face was serious as he entered the police station.

En: Eli took a page and a pen, putting all his heart into the writing.
He: הוא תיאר את האופניים, הוסיף את מספר הסידורי, וצייר סימן מיוחד שהיה על המושב.
En: He described the bicycle, added the serial number, and drew a special mark that was on the seat.
He: כל פרט זכר, לא מוותר על שום פרט.
En: He remembered every detail, not leaving out a single one.
He: בעיני רוחו ראה איך חוזרים האופניים אליו, כיצד הוא ייסע בדרכים האלונים ובשבילים שאהב.
En: In his mind's eye, he saw the bicycle returning to him, how he would ride on the oak roads and paths he loved.

En: Finally, when he finished, he turned to Officer Liora.
