Dome Observatory and the Nature of Motivation
Published 3 months, 3 weeks ago
Description
In this episode, I talk about a recent visit to Dohdaira Observatory in Chichibu. I went hoping to see the stars, but the sky was completely cloudy and the observation was cancelled.
Even so, the trip made me think about motivation. We often wait until we feel motivated before taking action, but in many cases motivation only appears after we start moving.
I also reflect on how small actions—even ones that seem pointless at the time—can keep curiosity alive. For me, that includes an ongoing interest in space and the simple habit of showing up, even when progress isn’t obvious.
