Meditation on a Flower

Meditation on a Flower

Episode 72 Published 2 months ago
Description

In this meditation, I invite you to reflect on the quiet wisdom of creation through a simple meditation on a flower.

We begin by settling into stillness and becoming aware of the breath. From there, you are invited to imagine a small flower resting in the palm of your hand, perhaps a simple daisy.

With gentle attention we begin to notice its form, its colour and its delicate beauty. Like us, the flower has come into the world as a living being, rooted in the earth and quietly fulfilling its purpose.

As we observe the petals, the centre of the flower and the hidden roots that nourish it, the meditation becomes a reflection on our own lives. A flower does not try to become something else. It simply becomes what it is.

In the same way, the practice invites us to consider how we nourish our own roots and how we might grow more fully into who we are meant to be.

This meditation offers a moment of calm, whether you are pausing during the day or winding down before sleep, helping you rest in the breath and rediscover your place within the living world.
